Matt Hardy just ended all the speculation about the Hardys’ TNA future, confirming that they have re-signed with the company.
Matt Hardy took to Twitter and directly addressed speculation about whether he and Jeff Hardy had re-upped with TNA Wrestling ahead of its January 15, 2026, AMC relaunch. Hardy confirmed he and Jeff signed new deals with the promotion.
“BTW, we’ve been re-signed for a while. Merry Christmas, guys!”
That one sentence was all it took to settle things after days of reports and online debate. Despite earlier claims from Fightful Select that neither Matt nor Jeff had officially signed new contracts, Matt’s statement makes it clear the ink has been dry for some time.
“TNA has signed a series of short-term deals, but a couple of major players are not among them…yet!“
The confusion stemmed from the report suggesting TNA had only secured short-term deals with some top names. Even TNA President Carlos Silva tweeted he looked forward to working with the Hardys “for years to come,” but sources insisted that wasn’t confirmation of finalized contracts. Now, we know otherwise.
The Hardys were a major part of TNA locking down its new TV deal with AMC, and internally, the company views them as the highest-paid wrestlers on the roster. Locking them in long-term isn’t just smart—it’s essential for the promotion’s 2026 reboot.
TNA’s reboot continues to build momentum, and with Matt and Jeff officially signing new deals with the company, one major question has been answered heading into 2026.
What do you think about the Hardys officially re-signing with TNA? Was it the right move for both sides? Sound off in the comments—we want to hear your thoughts!
