Matt and Jeff Hardy have been wrestling for over 30 years, and their bodies have taken a lot of punishment over time. That being said, Matt Hardy has now claimed that WWE told both him and Jeff that they are in the same physical shape as 30-year-olds.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Matt Hardy stated that back in the day, many wrestling veterans warned them that their risky wrestling style would leave them in wheelchairs by the time they turned 35.

“There were people that stated, especially vets back in the day, we’d get feedback from them and they were like, ‘You guys gotta stop doing the style that you do or else you’re both gonna be in wheelchairs by the time you’re 35.”

However, Hardy pointed out that he is 50 and his brother Jeff is 47, and both feel great, as if they’re in their early 30s. He stated that they recently underwent a rigorous WWE physical test, and the results showed that they are both in amazing shape.

Matt Hardy claimed that the WWE staff even told them to keep doing whatever they’re doing because they are in the shape of people 30-35 years old, which made them feel good.

“Well, let it be known, I’m 50, Jeff’s 47. We feel great and we feel like we’re in our early 30s. We just did the real intense WWE test and they said we are both in incredible shape. They said, ‘Whatever you’re doing, continue to do it. You’re both in the shape of 30-35 year olds,’ so that made us feel good as well.”

This comes after Matt Hardy revealed that the Hardys met with WWE during WrestleMania 41 weekend and had a very long meeting with them. Nonetheless, the Hardys are still at the very top of their game since they’re killing it in TNA Wrestling, and so we’ll have to wait and see what’s next in store for the legendary tag team.
