WWE SmackDown delivered a chaotic Valentine’s Day episode, but while fans were glued to the action, the real masterminds behind the scenes were Ioannis Filippides and TJ Wilson.
According to Fightful Select, Filippides was responsible for crafting the Tiffany Stratton vs. Nia Jax and Trish Stratus segments, while Wilson produced the action inside the ring.
SmackDown set the stage with a major WWE Women’s Championship match featuring Tiffany Stratton defending against Nia Jax. With Charlotte Flair watching closely from backstage, all eyes were on Tiffy Time as she faced her biggest challenge yet. Stratton threw everything she had at Jax, from a top-rope double stomp to a swanton bomb, but Jax kept coming back for more. Just when it looked like Stratton might pull off another huge win, Candice LeRae stormed in and caused a disqualification, setting off absolute chaos in the ring.
Nia Jax used the moment to unleash a brutal post-match beatdown, flattening Stratton before turning her attention to WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus, who rushed in to take down LeRae. Stratus didn’t get far before Jax crushed her in the corner and dropped a leg across her, leaving both Stratton and Stratus down as officials tried to restore order.
That’s when Charlotte Flair made her entrance. The Queen walked straight to the ring, stood over Stratton, and delivered her WrestleMania challenge with a smirk. “Sit up if you can, Tiffy,” Flair mocked before making it official: “The Queen chooses you. I’ll see you at WrestleMania.”
With Filippides running creative for the segment and Wilson producing the action, WWE put together a moment that had the perfect mix of in-ring brutality, surprise interference, and a WrestleMania-level announcement. Now, with Trish Stratus in the mix and Flair vs. Stratton officially on the books, things are heating up on the road to WrestleMania 41.
What do you think of WWE’s creative direction for Tiffany Stratton? Does she have what it takes to hold her own against Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
