Roman Reigns returned on the July 14 episode of WWE RAW with a new moniker, “OTC1”, and now the mastermind behind the moniker has been revealed.
A fan went on Twitter to complain that Roman Reigns’ new nickname, “OTC1,” doesn’t make sense, saying, “Original and #1 mean the SAME THING!! WHO DESIGNED THIS? I feel like this is where I should yell GRAMMAR SLAM or something.”
WrestleVotes responded to the fan and revealed that Roman Reigns was the one who came up with the moniker, saying, “Joe Anoa’i’s idea.” This comes after we had previously reported that Reigns was going to return as “OTC1.”
The OTC1 came back after CM Punk won the gauntlet match and earned a title shot at SummerSlam, after which Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed attacked him. Jey Uso got involved but he got beaten up as well. That was when Reigns made his shocking return to a huge pop and he cleaned house, saving both Punk and Jey Uso.
Reigns is here for revenge and it’s clear Paul Heyman and the rest of his faction have a target on their backs, so we’ll have to wait and see how Roman Reigns will deal with them in the coming weeks.
