One of the most chaotic and acclaimed matches on WWE NXT this week now has a name behind it.
According to Fightful Select, Johnny Moss was the producer for the women’s main event triple threat tag team match on the January 20, 2026 edition of WWE NXT. The match saw ZaRuca (ZARIA & Sol Ruca) defeat WrenQCC and Fatal Influence to become the new number one contenders for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
Moss, a veteran of the wrestling world and a longtime coach at the WWE Performance Center, is being heavily credited for his work with the NXT women’s division, and this match was no exception. The bout showcased fast-paced sequences, tandem spots, intricate near falls, and a multi-layered finish that featured Sol Ruca’s double Sol Snatcher and ZARIA’s F5 to secure the win.
The segment closed out the episode in style, and the buzz surrounding the match grew even louder following news that Moss was the mastermind behind its structure and execution.
Moss is praised for his ongoing contributions to NXT’s women’s roster—especially as the division continues to integrate outside champions, like TNA’s Knockouts titles, into WWE programming.
With ZaRuca now locked in as challengers, and DarkState vs. OTM confirmed for next week, the NXT women’s tag scene is hotter than ever—and Moss’s behind-the-scenes role in making it happen isn’t going unnoticed.
What did you think of the women’s main event this week? Should Johnny Moss be getting more credit for NXT’s standout matches? Sound off in the comments.
