WWE Bad Blood 2024 was full of memorable moments, but what happened after the event shocked fans as Kevin Owens turned heel on Cody Rhodes, which actually happened off-camera. With that in mind, the mastermind behind this heel turn has been revealed.

While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Kevin Owens explained that the off-camera heel turn was Triple H’s idea. Owens admitted that initially, he wasn’t sure it would work, but in the end, it was a success and showed how Triple H is using a different and more modern way of telling stories in WWE compared to what Vince McMahon used to do.

“It wasn’t me. That was Triple H. That was his idea. He felt confident in doing it that way. I was not sure. I’m like, I don’t know, is there even going to be enough people there? It turns out he was completely right, there was and yeah, it’s just a different way of telling the stories and he’s got a different mentality than Vince had. It’s really interesting, and people really responded to it.”

The Prizefighter also pointed out that they took a similar approach during his turn on Randy Orton, where the attack was shown using security camera footage. According to Owens, this new way of storytelling is helping to keep things fresh and exciting for fans.

According to Owens, Triple H likes to try different ideas to see what works. Not everything will be perfect, but testing out new things is important, and it makes the show more interesting and exciting to watch.

“He wants to tell stories differently, and he’s willing to try stuff out and see what sticks and I think that makes the show way more interesting. It doesn’t mean it’s always gonna work, there might be sometimes it doesn’t land, but we’re trying different things and new things, and I think that’s so important in wrestling.”

Fans have been reacting well to these changes, as they bring more surprise and a sense of realism to WWE shows. Whether it’s hidden camera footage, surprise attacks at live events, or other changes, it’s very clear that Triple H wants to keep on trying new things to entertain fans, and that’s all that matters in the end.
