Maryse has shared a deeply personal health update two years after undergoing a life-changing surgery.

The former WWE Women’s Champion previously revealed she was diagnosed with a rare pre-cancerous condition involving Serous Borderline Tumors affecting her ovaries and surrounding abdominal tissues. Doctors ultimately discovered and removed 11 implants around her uterus, ovaries, and connective tissue during surgery.

Now, in a new update posted on March 8, 2026, Maryse looked back on the moment that changed everything for her. The post included several photos from her recovery, including a mirror selfie showing surgical scars and a hospital photo during her treatment. Maryse explained that two years earlier she woke up after undergoing a full radical hysterectomy that removed the tumors from her body.

“Two years ago today, on March 8, I woke up from a full radical hysterectomy that removed every tumor from my body. It was a moment that changed my life, but it didn’t create the strength inside me, that fire was already there, built through storms I had faced long before that day. This chapter was simply another crossing in a much longer journey.”

Maryse also tied the anniversary of her surgery to International Women’s Day, reflecting on the different struggles women face and the resilience they build along the way.

“Today, on International Women’s Day, I think about the way we all carry different boats within us as we move across life’s waters. One holds the weight of everything we’ve survived, the hard lessons, the grief, the battles fought in silence. The other carries our resilience, our voice, and the power we’ve been building all along.”

Maryse, who is married to The Miz, has largely stepped away from regular WWE appearances in recent years while focusing on family life and other ventures. Her latest update offered a powerful reflection on her health journey and the strength she discovered along the way after facing a frightening diagnosis and major surgery.
