Velveteen Dream’s journey in WWE took a dramatic turn following allegations that led to the hashtag #FireVelveteenDream trending whenever he appeared on television. This controversy marked one of the most significant falls from grace in WWE history. Interestingly, despite the controversy surrounding Dream, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry believes that Dream deserves a second chance.

Velveteen Dream began 2024 with an apology video addressing multiple scandals, expressing remorse and hinting at potentially returning to the ring. As it turns out, Velveteen Dream then made his in-ring appearance for the first time in years at Dynasty in New York.

During a virtual signing hosted by K & S WrestleFest with Mark Henry, the topic of assembling a modern-day Nation of Domination arose. Henry shared his picks, naming Powerhouse Hobbs as the top draft pick, followed by Omos and Carmelo Hayes. However, Henry expressed a desire for members who weren’t universally liked, stating his preference for individuals like Bobby Lashley.

Henry then introduced a wildcard pick, Velveteen Dream, stating that it’s time for him to receive a second chance. Henry recounted seeing Clark at a recent convention and praised his appearance.

While acknowledging the controversy surrounding Clark and the importance of addressing allegations in the cancel culture era, Henry added the need for grace and forgiveness. He shared his personal experience of being falsely accused and noted the importance of giving individuals a second chance, provided they don’t repeat their mistakes in the future.
