Mariah May officially has a new identity in WWE—and it’s Blake Monroe.

During the June 10 episode of WWE NXT on The CW, the former AEW star was featured in a pre-taped vignette that left little to the imagination about how WWE plans to present her moving forward. The video showed Monroe lounging in a bathtub, applying lipstick, and embracing the glitz and glamour as a sultry voiceover introduced her new persona to the NXT universe.

The vignette built slowly, cutting between close-ups of lipstick, trying on clothes, and putting on shoes as the unseen narrator kept repeating one word: “glamour.” By the end of the segment, the voice revealed the name: “The glamour is.. Blake Monroe.”

The reveal confirmed earlier reports, which stated WWE had internally listed May under the new name ahead of the episode. But now it’s official—Blake Monroe has arrived.

Monroe first showed up in NXT on the June 3 episode, making a surprise appearance during a wild brawl in the women’s division. Dressed to stun, she interrupted the chaos from the balcony and confidently made her intentions known. “The best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous,” she said, before turning up the heat with, “I’m the next NXT Women’s Champion.”

Hours before the June 10 episode aired, she teased fans again with a cryptic tweet that now makes perfect sense: “you’ll wanna tune in to #wwenxt tonight 🫧 8ET/7CT on @thecw”

With her official introduction out of the way, all eyes are now on when Blake Monroe will step into the ring—and whether Jacy Jayne’s reign as NXT Women’s Champion is already in danger. Glamour has a new face in NXT, and her name is Blake Monroe.
