Mariah May’s wrestling future is looking more uncertain than ever after AEW removed her profile from their official website.
While this may seem like a subtle move, it often signals that a wrestler has parted ways with the company, leaving them open for opportunities elsewhere. According to PWInsider, May is reportedly headed to WWE in the near future.
This update comes after months of speculation about May’s relationship with AEW. While she’s been noticeably absent from AEW programming since her loss to Toni Storm at AEW Revolution in 2025, it’s her comments and actions in recent months that have raised the most eyebrows.
Earlier this year, Mariah stirred the pot when she shared her disappointment with her treatment in AEW, specifically during a trip to Chicago. While attending AEW Dynamite and Rampage, May filmed a vlog complaining about being given a subpar hotel room, while other AEW talent enjoyed better accommodations. She said:
“So, I’m coming to you from Chicago. I checked the view, but like there’s not really anything to write home about. I got really screwed over with the rooms. Everybody came in my room. I was like, ‘Oh.’ I’m like, ‘What do you mean?’ Oh. So, I feel like everyone else has like a gorgeous view of the skyline. I’m not killing it so much. But I am tapping into this vlog. So, I’m in Chicago for Dynamite and Rampage, which we’re filming today.”
This wasn’t the first time May had publicly expressed dissatisfaction with her treatment, and the tension between her and AEW seemed to only grow from there. When a fan pointed out the discrepancy in hotel accommodations on Twitter, May responded with a simple but telling remark: “What’s new.”
This cryptic response led fans to believe that her frustrations with AEW’s treatment of her were nothing new and had been ongoing for quite some time. It didn’t take long for rumors about her potential departure from AEW to start circulating.
Fast forward to today, and the latest development seems to confirm those rumors. Mariah May’s profile has been officially removed from the AEW website, a move that’s often a telltale sign of a wrestler’s departure. PWInsider also confirmed that WWE sources have been hearing that May is expected to sign with the company soon, which could signal the next step in her wrestling career.
Her rumored WWE move aligns with her previous comments, as Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer reported earlier this year that May had informed AEW that she wouldn’t be re-signing her contract when it expires.
So what’s next for Mariah May? WWE fans are eager to see what she can bring to the company, but for now, May is enjoying her downtime before her next big move. Only time will tell what direction her wrestling journey will take.
