The AEW Collision drama involving Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize isn’t dying down just yet—and now indie star Mandy León is stepping in with a strong message for everyone piling on.
After Newell and Alize walked out of AEW Collision last week following a creative dispute, social media exploded with criticism. Many wrestlers and fans called them out for being unprofessional. But Mandy León had a different take—and she didn’t hold back.
In a post to Twitter, León called out the hypocrisy from some of the same women now attacking Newell and Alize. According to Mandy, those critics have also had issues behind the scenes and shouldn’t act like they’re above the situation.
“Some of the same girls ganging up on them on here are the same girls that have absolutely 100% complained about their times, opponents, stories… etc too. It’s gross… stop. Not your monkey not your circus. However it was handled. Focus on yourself. Ick. 🤦🏻♀️”
Mandy’s comments came not long after Miranda Alize shared her own message, responding to the wave of backlash she received for standing up for herself and walking away from the match.
“The moment you start standing up for yourself, everything shifts. Suddenly you’re the problem — not because you’ve changed, but because you’re no longer letting them take advantage of you. They’ll paint you as the villain, but that’s okay because you’re finally choosing yourself. This is where your freedom begins.”
While the situation remains polarizing, León’s defense adds a new layer to the conversation—one that shines a light on how common these frustrations are in women’s wrestling. Behind the scenes, many wrestlers are still fighting for equal treatment, consistent storylines, and fair match time.
Mandy León isn’t saying who was right or wrong—but she’s made it clear: the constant dogpiling needs to stop, and wrestlers should worry more about their own paths than tearing down others.
