Major Hollywood Actor Approached to Portray Mick Foley in Upcoming Biopic

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley’s incredible career in wrestling is definitely deserving of a movie, at least that’s what many fans think. Interestingly enough, a Hollywood star has been approached to portray Foley in a biopic.

While speaking on Inside the Ring, Paul Walter Hauser was asked which wrestler he would want to play if there were a biopic about a wrestler. He explained that it’s not really about the specific wrestler but more about the quality of the writing.

Hauser revealed that he has been approached to play Mick Foley and Jim Neidhart in separate projects. He also mentioned that he was recently contacted about portraying another wrestler, though he chose not to reveal the name out of respect for the project and those involved.

Hauser added that people often think of him for wrestling-related roles because they know he’s passionate about the sport. He made it clear he would gladly take on such a role if the story was strong and allowed him to explore the character deeply.

“Uh, ‘have to be’ isn’t really about which wrestler it is — it’s more about the writing. But I have been approached about playing Mick Foley. Really. I’ve also been approached about playing Jim Neidhart, and I just got approached last week about playing a new wrestler — which I won’t name out of respect for the project and the people involved. But yeah, people think of me for wrestling stuff because they know I’m into it. And I’d do it as long as the story is good and I get to really do something with the character.”

This comes after Mick Foley had previously revealed that Paul Walter Hauser really wanted to portray him in a biopic. So now that Hauser has been approached for the role, we’ll have to wait and see if he will end up portraying the Hardcore Legend once and for all.
