AEW’s January 22 episode of Dynamite delivered plenty of action, but behind the scenes, there have been major changes regarding the ongoing storyline between Jeff Jarrett and MJF.
According to Fightful Select, “a lot changed” when it comes to MJF and Jeff Jarrett’s storyline, though details on the adjustments remain unclear. What is known is that Jarrett called out Jon Moxley during Dynamite, only for Claudio Castagnoli to step in instead. This led to a match being booked for January 29, where if Jarrett defeats Claudio, he earns a shot at Moxley’s AEW World Championship.
What’s also up in the air is Jarrett’s relationship with MJF, as the former AEW Champion has insisted that Jarrett won’t win the title without his help. So far, Jarrett has rejected that offer, but with backstage plans shifting, could AEW be steering this story in an entirely different direction?
With plans shifting behind the scenes, the real question is what’s next for Jeff Jarrett and MJF? Will Jarrett finally cave and accept MJF’s help, or is AEW setting up a completely different direction that no one sees coming? Either way, something big is brewing, and with Dynamite set for next week, fans won’t have to wait long to see how it all unfolds.
