WWE’s upcoming WrestlePalooza Premium Live Event on September 20 will officially kick off the ESPN era and now the main event for the upcoming show has finally been revealed.
During an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter, announcer Joe Tessitore revealed that John Cena’s match against Brock Lesnar will officially main event the WrestlePalooza Premium Live Event.
This is a big moment for WWE and ESPN, as Wrestlepalooza will be the first WWE premium live event to stream only on ESPN’s new streaming service. A huge match like Cena vs. Lesnar is a strong way to kick off this new partnership.
Wrestlepalooza will feature more big matches as well. CM Punk and AJ Lee will team up against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch in a mixed tag team match. IYO SKY will battle Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship, and The Usos will fight The Vision’s Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker as their feud continues.
John Cena and Brock Lesnar’s huge match at Wrestlepalooza is more than just the main event; it’s really the ideal way to launch WWE’s new exclusive partnership with ESPN streaming. With a loaded lineup and major mainstream attention, September 20 is set to be one of the biggest event WWE has had in years.
