Lyra Valkyria isn’t holding back when it comes to who’s really been there for her in WWE—and it’s not Becky Lynch.
In a new interview with Robbie Fox on My Mom’s Basement, the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion reflected on her evolving relationships behind the scenes, especially after Becky replaced Bayley as her tag partner at WrestleMania 41 following a surprise backstage attack.
Lyra revealed that her bond with Bayley has become something truly meaningful, both in and out of the ring. “Especially since I’ve come to Raw, I feel like I’ve had this natural connection with Bayley outside of the ring, and it kind of just manifested inside the ring. We really, really clicked,” she said.
That connection made Bayley’s absence on the biggest weekend of the year even harder to swallow. “Having my Mania moment coming as an expense to her, that was genuinely very upsetting,” Lyra admitted, referencing Bayley being taken out of their match—an attack later revealed to be orchestrated by Becky Lynch.
Then came the mic drop. “Bayley, since I’ve come to Raw, has been a massive help and she actually is everything that I thought Becky would be,” Lyra stated.
Now, just days away from her title defense against Becky at WWE Backlash, the tension between the two is boiling over—and it’s clearly more than just business.
Do you think Lyra’s comments are setting the stage for a real turning point in her feud with Becky? Should Bayley get revenge once she returns? Drop your thoughts in the comments section.
