The AAA Tag Team Title match was an extreme match.
Triplemanía XXXIII went down on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico. The night was full of action, especially when titles were on the line.
Los Garzas surprised a lot of fans when they won the AAA Tag Team Championships. They have been rocking those titles on WWE television since then, but tonight they put them on the line in a big way.
The Street Fight for the AAA World Tag Team Championship saw Berto and Angel defend their titles against Pagano and Psycho Clown. Naturally, fans were in for a violent match with a street fight stipulation at Triplemania.
This match had a ton of attention during the night as two of AAA’s top babyfaces went after the hated Garzas. The contest also went third to last on the card, putting the three biggest title matches on top of the show. Fans were more than ready to see this tag team chaos take over.
This match was full of weapons, including chairs, barbed wire, belts, and plenty of stiff strikes. The Garzas played the roles of heels perfectly as they tried their best to keep the challengers’ pace down, however, their painted foes kept fighting back. There were more than a couple near falls as the match continued.
This match was full of high spots. At one point, both challengers were put through two tables that they set up at ringside in an explosive spot. They continued from there after another near fall. Pagano showed up and surprised Berto by wrapping him in it as he sat on the top rope. Then Pyscho Clown got on the top rope and nailed a top rope Spanish Fly to win the match and the titles. After that, the Pyscho Circus ran to the ring to celebrate.
We will keep a close eye on AAA and WWE’s relationship from this point on. The fact that WWE is sharing so many stars with the popular Mexican pro wrestling company is something Vince McMahon never pulled off. Only time will tell how WWE’s open for business strategy will help usher along more situations like this.
