The February 3 episode of NXT was quite an episode, and they dealt with a lot. This included a Women’s North American Title match.

During this week’s NXT, the NXT Women’s North American Championship was on the line in a triple threat match, as Izzi Dame defended against Thea Hail and Lola Vice.

This championship match was the first of three in the night. The contest started right after Shawn Michaels named a new interim general manager for NXT. This was also the first time that this title had ever been defended in triple threat rules.

Everyone in the match got their spots in, and there were some near falls. Then the action spilled to the outside of the ring as they cut to a commercial break.

When we got back, the action was still back-and-forth. Lola Vica was able to nail some stiff kicks all over the ring, and then she did her hip attack on both women before Thea Hail countered with an exploder suplex.

As Booker T said that they’re “letting it all hang out tonight,” the matchup continued. Near falls continued as everyone had their own kicks and big boots to hand out. Izzi Dame crawled away as she avoided Thea Hail. Then Kelani Jordan showed up at ringside and destroyed Lola Vice’s hand with a ladder by smashing it on the ground.

Kelani Jordan left, and Lola Vice was out at ringside. Then Thea Hail locked a kimora on Izzi Dame, but she was overpowered and ate a sit-down powerbomb for the win. Izzi Dame retained, but it may have been thanks to Kelani Jordan’s interference.

We will keep our eyes on the Women’s North American Title. The championship has a lot of women on the roster who want to wear that gold. There are a lot of possibilities as well, and only time will tell who steps up next.
