Logan Paul just turned his Pokémon card into a Guinness World Record — and cashed in for an insane $16.4 million.
Overnight on February 15, 2026, Paul’s one-of-a-kind PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator Pokémon card officially became the most expensive trading card ever sold at auction. After sitting at $12.5 million in the final stretch, a late bidding war drove the price past $16.4 million before the hammer dropped. Veteran auctioneer Ken Goldin confirmed the milestone on Twitter, writing: “Officially a @GWR for Most Expensive Trading Card EVER sold in an Auction! 🙏”
The buyer was revealed live on Logan Paul’s stream. AJ Scaramucci, co-founder of investment firm Solari Capital, announced he had secured the historic card. Scaramucci explained that the purchase is part of a much larger personal mission:
“I'm on a planetary treasure hunt right now. I'm on a quest to buy a T-Rex dinosaur fossil — that's on my list. I'm going to buy the Declaration of Independence. And I'm not stopping there. This was only the beginning.”
Paul originally purchased the card for $5.3 million and famously wore it around his neck during his WrestleMania 38 entrance at AT&T Stadium in 2022, making it one of the most recognizable Pokémon cards in the world. Now it carries official Guinness World Record status.
The leap from $12.5 million to $16.4 million in the final stretch shows just how huge the demand became once bidding heated up. A Pokémon card selling for over $16 million would have sounded impossible a decade ago. Now it’s official — and it’s attached to Logan Paul’s name forever.
