R-Truth made his surprising return during the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event and immediately attacked John Cena, costing him and Logan Paul the tag team match. Following the end of the show, Logan Paul made it clear he isn’t happy about Truth being back.
The Maverick took to his Instagram story and uploaded a video, Logan Paul addressed R-Truth’s return at Money in the Bank and blamed him for costing him and John Cena their tag team match against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso. He said he took some time to think about the match and made it clear he believed he and Cena were the better team.
While admitting there was a bit of miscommunication between them, he brushed it off. The Maverick then accused Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso of being cheaters and claimed they only won because R-Truth returned.
Paul stated that R-Truth’s return directly led to their loss and said it proves Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso can’t succeed without things being handed to them. He finished by saying that while others were happy to see R-Truth back, he wasn’t one of them.
“I had some time to digest the match tonight. Man, it’s safe to say that John and I were clearly the better team. We had a little disagreement, little miscommunication in the middle there—that’s neither here nor there. Look, it’s like I said last week: Cody and Jey Uso are cheaters, man. They only won because R-Truth came back. That’s an objective fact. I said it last week—they can’t do anything in this business without having it handed to them. And R-Truth got unfired for whatever reason. He came back and cost me and John Cena the match. And so, that’s what I have to say about that. R-Truth, man—everyone else wanted you back. I don’t.”
R-Truth came back and hit a massive spear on John Cena, allowing Cody Rhodes to then plant Cena with a Cross Rhodes for the win. This all came about since WWE ultimately listened to the insane fan backlash after Truth announced his exit last week. Nonetheless, we’ll have to see what’s next in store for Logan Paul, as it’s clear his beef with Rhodes and Uso isn’t over yet.
