Logan Paul was flying blind during WWE Money in the Bank 2025—literally and figuratively.

While reflecting on the event during the latest episode of IMPAULSIVE, the WWE star revealed that he had no idea R-Truth was returning during the main event match, and the surprise left him stunned while recovering from one of the hardest bumps of his career.

Paul explained he had just pulled off a springboard moonsault through the announce table on Jey Uso—a spot he pitched to John Cena earlier in the day. According to Paul, Cena dared him not to try it, claiming he couldn’t make the jump.

“It’s before the match and I’m telling John Cena, ‘Hey, I’d like to fit this spot.’ He looks at me and he goes, ‘You can’t make that jump,’ and I go, ‘I swear to God I can,’ and dude, John’s the best. But in full sincerity, he goes, ‘You can’t make that jump,’ and I’m like, ‘Okay, buddy!’”

Paul hit the move but admitted the landing was brutal.

“It was well-executed and I’m fcking alive. But it was a really hard landing. Really hard… When I landed, straight up, I was not sure if I broke both my fcking shins.”

As he sat outside the ring trying to recover, the last thing he expected was to see R-Truth—who had been publicly let go by WWE just a week earlier—sprint back into the spotlight.

“I’m sitting there just selling but not selling because this sht’s real and it all hurts so bad… And dude, out of nowhere comes fcking R-Truth who I thought was fired. I thought the WWE let him go.”

And no, Paul wasn’t clued in ahead of time.

“No one told me R-Truth was coming. I didn’t even know. I didn’t even know. So bro, I’m sitting there and he comes back, I’m like, ‘What the fck is he doing here!?’”*

That return cost Paul and Cena the match, and Paul was left trying to piece together what just happened.

“Then he hit John and we lost the fcking match!”*

Logan Paul might be built for big moments, but even he didn’t see this one coming. Getting put through a table was rough enough—but watching your tag partner get laid out by a guy you thought was fired? That’s a different kind of hit. WWE kept him completely in the dark, and it cost him the match.
