Logan Paul isn’t letting Tom Brady get the last word.
Earlier this month, Brady downplayed Paul’s athletic resume by calling his work in WWE “cute” compared to what NFL players do on the field. Now, in a new interview with Sports Illustrated, the WWE star turned influencer turned full-blown trash talker unloaded on the seven-time Super Bowl champion.
Paul mocked Brady’s athletic testing numbers and questioned what really makes someone elite.
“I was going back and forth with Tom Brady and we’re talking about athleticism and what it takes to be an athlete. And so funny, Tom Brady talking to me about being an athlete. Bro, the worst NFL Combine of all time. Okay, you won seven Super Bowls. It’s like, seven Super Bowls, six Super Bowls, six seven Super Bowls. It doesn’t matter how many Super Bowls you won, how many United States titles have you won? How many subscribers do you have on YouTube? What’s your net worth?”
That wasn’t all. Paul doubled down by claiming that most NFL players wouldn’t last inside a WWE ring, saying pro wrestling demands a completely different level of performance and durability.
“If you put any of the WWE Superstars on the roster, including the women, on an NFL team, they would do bare minimum, all right, because these people are athletes. If you plucked 99% of NFL athletes from the team and put them in a WWE ring, they would s**t the bed. They would not be able to do it. It is the hardest thing in the world to do.”
The comments come after Brady previously dismissed WWE as “cute” while promoting a Fanatics flag football event in Saudi Arabia. Paul responded at the time with a social media video and the caption “The NFL is cute,” but this latest interview takes the rivalry to another level.
Whether this is playful back-and-forth or something more serious, Logan Paul clearly isn’t backing down from one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
