Logan Paul isn’t shedding any tears over John Cena’s retirement — in fact, The Maverick says WWE is better off without him.

Speaking on his vlog following Saturday Night’s Main Event, Paul gave a brutal take on Cena’s emotional final match, where the 17-time World Champion tapped out to GUNTHER in front of a shocked Capital One Arena crowd. While the fans chanted “bulls**t” and booed the finish, Logan had a very different reaction.

“As John Cena would say — you’ve got to earn your sunset — which he definitely did not do in his last match,” Paul said. “I watched his last match. I watched John Cena’s last match.”

For Paul, Cena’s submission loss went completely against everything he stood for — especially the iconic “Never Give Up” motto he built his legacy on.

“He tapped out to GUNTHER — he gave up,” Paul noted. “His whole thing was never give up. And he gave up.”

Paul used Cena’s departure to declare that WWE is better off without him, and that the company is heading into its most exciting era — with himself at the center of it.

“The good news is — with a guy like John gone — this company can really thrive with me in charge and The Vision leading the way,” he continued. “All of yesterday’s match was a microcosm of what the future of WWE could look like.”

He didn’t stop there — Logan name-dropped several talented stars from NXT who, along with him, represent the next generation.

“The talent from NXT — the Oba Femis, the Sol Rucas, Je’von Evans, me — now it’s going to get exciting.”

The comments come just days after Triple H defended Cena’s final match, calling it a “time-honored tradition” to go out putting someone over and saying Cena has always tried to “leave this place better than he found it.” But Logan Paul clearly isn’t buying the legacy talk — he’s too busy preparing to take over.
