Logan Paul once said he was done with boxing for good—but less than a year later, the WWE United States Champion is singing a different tune.
In 2024, Paul made headlines when he appeared on his Impaulsive podcast and declared he was officially retired from boxing. After years of building his name as a YouTuber and stepping into the boxing ring—including a high-profile exhibition against Floyd Mayweather in 2021—Paul said he was done with that chapter of his life.
“I retired. I’m a wrestler now as you can see—United States Champion,” he said at the time. When asked whether he was going all-in on pro wrestling, Paul made it clear: “Yeah, you know why? I’m better at it than I am at boxing and Jake’s doing so well at boxing.”
It was a definitive statement—and one that backed up what fans were seeing. Paul shifted his energy into becoming one of WWE’s most polarizing in-ring stars, eventually locking down the United States Title and competing at events like WrestleMania 40 and 41.
But in 2025, things have changed. Speaking to The Schmo ahead of WrestleMania 41, Logan was asked what it would take to lure him back into the boxing world—and he didn’t dodge the question. “A lot of money—a lot of money. Like, just a ridiculous amount of money,” he said. Then he pivoted to wrestling, adding, “Because let me tell you something—I love WWE. I love the WWE. It’s the best job ever, and I was literally born to wrestle.”
That’s not exactly retirement talk anymore. At WrestleMania 41, Logan Paul took on AJ Styles in a high-stakes match, once again leaning into his signature heel persona. After nailing Styles with brass knuckles, Paul secured another big win and further cemented his place on the WWE roster. WWE clearly sees long-term value in him, and his performances have only improved with time.
Still, it’s clear that if the boxing world comes knocking—with a check big enough—The Maverick may be tempted to pick up the gloves again.
