The man accused of stalking Liv Morgan didn’t just target the WWE Superstar directly—he also reached out to WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley in the lead-up to the terrifying incident, and now D-Von is sharing exactly how it all unfolded.
During a recent discussion about obsessive fan behavior via Duke LovesRasslin podcast, D-Von revealed that the same individual who was later arrested for attempting to break into Liv Morgan’s home first contacted him through Cameo, begging for help to meet her. What started as a strange request quickly escalated into disturbing territory.
“This one guy hit me up on my Cameo… he basically was asking me, ‘Hey, Devon, can you help me meet Liv Morgan? I really want to meet Liv Morgan…’ I go, ‘Okay, number one, I don’t do that… you have to go through the proper personnel in WWE… but other than that, no, I cannot do that. I’m sorry.’”
When D-Von refused to help, the man became agitated and delusional, insisting that he and Liv were meant to be together.
“And then he proceeds to get mad. You know, ‘That’s f**ed up… you don’t care that me and Liv are gonna get married one day…’ I go, ‘Bro, please tell me you’re joking…’”
“He goes, ‘No, I’m not joking. Liv is my soulmate and we’re gonna… she just doesn’t know it yet, Devon.’ And I said— I had to look at myself in the mirror— I said, ‘Devon, you are out of your mind going back and forth with this idiot. End this conversation now.’ And I just blocked him.”
After realizing the situation could be dangerous, D-Von took it seriously. He warned WWE officials and Liv directly.
“I showed the picture to Liv and Liv was like, ‘Oh yeah, I know him. He’s been bothering me… stalking me for a long time now.’”
The man then contacted D-Von again, this time on Instagram, making more threats and suggesting he was going to prove his love for Liv in person.
“Yeah, I’m gonna go meet Liv… I’m gonna show you, Devon, that she loves me…” I immediately called John Cone in WWE… ‘This guy is giving me scary vibes… make sure she has security.’”
Not long after, D-Von learned the stalker had in fact been arrested. Duke confirmed the outcome during their conversation:
“He was arrested earlier this year— he attempted to break into Liv’s home and he had an air rifle… and he left a note… and then he showed up to the Performance Center… charged with burglary and interstate stalking. You were 100% right, bro. This guy was completely off his rocker.”
The man in question, Shawn Chan, was formally indicted on one count of interstate domestic violence and remains in federal custody. His trial has now been delayed to January 2026 following requests for further psychiatric evaluation.
D-Von’s account adds a disturbing new information to the case—proving that red flags were flying well before the situation escalated to a criminal level.
How do you think WWE should handle fan interactions when they cross the line—and should wrestlers be given more security when red flags are raised? Let us know in the comments.
