The 2026 Royal Rumble took place at Riyadh Season Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Fans were locked in to see who would win and earn a guaranteed title match at WrestleMania 42. The Women’s Royal Rumble was a grind from start to finish, and the winner had to work for it, which made the victory matter that much more.
We only knew 17 confirmed names for the Women’s Royal Rumble match prior to it all going down. That being said, there were some surprises, especially from NXT, that were expected.
This match opened up the show, with Mark Nash announcing his first-ever Royal Rumble event. Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss started off the match, which put their friendship to a true test, but they didn’t wrestle each other. Instead, they teased fighting, but decided to work together.
Kiana James came down next, and then Nia Jax made her way to the ring. Nobody was eliminated, and Ivy Nile came out as the 5th entry. NXT’s Lola Vice came out in the next spot.
The seventh spot went to Candice LeRae, and nobody had been eliminated yet. Then Jordynne Grace entered the match in the next spot to take out Candice, Lola, and Ivy Nile. Then Charlotte Flair eliminated Nia Jax and she accidentally took Bliss out of the match too.
Becky Lynch came into the match just after that, and Charlotte Flair wasn’t happy about being left alone. Then Lynch and Flair rolled under the ropes and battled on the floor. Sol Ruca entered in the tenth spot next, and she had a chance to wow the Saudi crowd. Rocane Perez made her way out next, and she looked very confident.
Former Women’s IC Champion Maxxine Dupri made her way out next, and she made a beeline to Becky Lynch. The fourteen spot went to Nattie, and Maxxine Dupri was ready for her. Then Liv Morgan made her way out next to join her 9th Royal Rumble match.
Lash Legend was the fifteenth entry in the match, and she had no backup in the ring because Nia Jax was already eliminated. Legend took out Jordynne Grace, and then Zelina Vega made her way out for the match. Raquel Rodriguez came out in the seventeenth spot after that, which put all three Judgment Day women in the match at the same time.
Chelsea Green made her way out next, and she had Alba Fyre with her. Giulia came out in the nineteenth entry. IYO Sky’s music hit next and she entered the fray. Asuka drew the twenty-first spot, and she added a lot of unexpected danger to the match.
Rhea Ripley’s music hit next at twenty-two, and fans erupted in the building. Zelina Vega was taken out of the match next, and then Rhea took out Chelsea Green. Rhea eliminated Roxanne Perez with a Razor’s Edge over the top rope next. Then Bayley made her way out.
NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne had the twenty-fourth entry. Nikki Bella made her way out in the next spot to make her fourth Royal Rumble match. Lyra Valkyria was the twenty-seventh entry in the match as the ring started to fill up.
Giulia was eliminated by Lyra and Bayley right before Kelani Jordan made her way out in the twenty-seventh spot. Kairi Sane made her way out next to complete the Kabuki Warriors team in the match. Then Kairi accidentally eliminated Asuka which was followed by IYO Sky taking Sane out of the match.
The twenty-ninth spot went to Brie Bella, and then Tiffany Stratton made her return to wrap up the entries. The Bella Twins worked well together in this match, as the building erupted into Yes chants.
The match kept going until there were only women left in the ring were Lash Legend, Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Sol Ruca and Tiffany Stratton. Lash had five eliminations so far as she took out both Bella Twins and IYO Sky, among others. Then Rhea took Lash out of the match with a clothesline over the top rope, but that was followed by Raquel taking out Rhea, and then Liv Morgan took out Raquel as she stabbed her Judgment Day partner in the back.
Tiffany Stratton, Sol Ruca, and Liv Morgan were the only three remaining. Ruca nailed a double Sol Snatcher, and she tried to throw both of them over the ropes. It ended with all three of them on the apron and then Sol Ruca was taken out before Morgan threw Tiffany to the floor and won the match.
Liv Morgan celebrated her win in Saudi Arabia, and she closed things out by pointing at the WrestleMania sign. She did this after coming in second in the Royal Rumble in the past, but this was her year.
