Liv Morgan didn’t leave any mystery about why Stephanie Vaquer ended up in her sights for WrestleMania, and her explanation makes it clear that this rivalry is about more than just championship gold.
During a conversation with Brad Gilmore, Morgan addressed the decision-making process behind selecting her WrestleMania opponent. At one point, there were multiple possible directions, including a potential clash with Jade Cargill. Instead, Morgan locked in on Vaquer—and she made it clear that the choice was driven by personal issues that built over time. Morgan laid out her reasoning by pointing directly to Vaquer’s actions involving Judgment Day members and the disrespect she believes crossed the line.
“Um, I went for Stephanie for a multitude of reasons. One, she put her hands on Daddy Dom. Two, she is terrorizing my sister Raquel Rodriguez. Three, she tried to embarrass me and diminish all my hard work and accomplishments over the last 12 years of my career. And so, I am excited to personally inform her at WrestleMania.”
Morgan also referenced the length of her WWE career, noting that more than a decade of work helped fuel her reaction to Vaquer’s actions. The mention of her 12-year journey wasn’t accidental—it reinforced her standing as a veteran who believes her accomplishments deserve respect, especially on the grandest stage of the year.
With WrestleMania drawing closer, Morgan’s comments add to the intensity to the build, making it clear that she plans to confront Vaquer directly in front of the world. The rivalry now carries emotional weight tied to loyalty, pride, and a long career that Morgan believes was challenged by her opponent’s behavior.
