Liv Morgan’s Royal Rumble victory was one of the biggest moments of her WWE career, but the celebration that followed was far quieter than most fans might expect.
Fresh off her win in Saudi Arabia, Morgan opened up on TMZ’s Inside The Ring about what she did immediately after the match, and the answer had nothing to do with champagne, clubs, or a locker-room blowout. Instead, the moment was personal, emotional, and very on-brand for how she approaches her career.
After being asked what the celebration looked like once the cameras stopped rolling, Morgan explained that her first instinct was to reach out to the two people closest to her.
“I called my mom and I called Dominic right away and FaceTimed them both and celebrated. And that was really it. You know, I got on a flight from Saudi Arabia straight to Philly. So, I slept. I slept it off.”
Rather than staying up to soak in the chaos of a career-defining night, Morgan said exhaustion quickly took over as she headed back to the United States. When the hosts asked if she used the long international flight to pamper herself or decompress, her answer was simple.
“You know, I honestly didn’t ’cause I slept the whole entire way. I slept both meals.”
The response fits with how Morgan described her mindset surrounding the Rumble win itself. She admitted earlier in the interview that she was so locked into the moment of victory that she even forgot to point at the WrestleMania sign — not because of nerves or confusion, but because she was intentionally trying to be present and absorb the moment before it passed.
Instead of celebrating loudly, Morgan chose connection and rest. A FaceTime with her mom. A FaceTime with Dominik Mysterio. Then straight onto a plane and straight to sleep. For someone who has spent more than a decade grinding her way through WWE, the win wasn’t about spectacle after the fact — it was about appreciation in real time.
As she now heads toward WrestleMania with a guaranteed title shot, Morgan’s low-key celebration says a lot about where her head is at. The moment mattered, but so did preserving it.
What do you think about Liv Morgan’s choice to keep her Royal Rumble celebration simple and personal instead of going all out? Would you have done the same, or would you have celebrated differently? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know.
