Dominik Mysterio is still on the shelf, but according to Liv Morgan, fans won’t have to wait much longer for his return.

On the latest episode of Raw Recap, Liv Morgan gave an update on Mysterio’s condition following WWE’s December announcement that he had suffered a shoulder injury. While early reports confirmed the injury did not require surgery, Morgan has now added that WWE is simply being cautious.

“Daddy Dom, he’s home resting. He’s just recovering. We’re just playing it safe,” Liv explained. “He is, after all, our double champion. He is, as of right now, the crown jewel of The Judgment Day so we protect and cater to Daddy Dom.”

Morgan emphasized that Mysterio has more than earned a break after a standout run across 2025.

“He’ll be back soon. But, he’s doing some well-deserved R&R. He was quite literally running Monday Night Raw for like the last full year. You don’t think that Daddy Dom deserves a little bit of a break? A little bit of a rest? A little bit of an off day? A little bit of a reprieve? My goodness.”

Mysterio currently holds two major titles—the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship—further raising the stakes for his eventual comeback. With The Judgment Day still a dominant force on WWE television, the return of “Daddy Dom” could shift the balance all over again.

Do you think WWE is right to keep Dominik on the sidelines for now? Or should he be defending those titles sooner rather than later? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
