Linda McMahon’s name comes up from time to time, even to this day. Her current battle alongside Vince McMahon in the ongoing ring boy lawsuit has drawn attention. However, she’s making headlines now because of her job with Trump’s administration.

News 12 reports in The Bronx reported today that Linda McMahon had a planned visit canceled after parents raised concerns. She was set to visit McKinley Elementary School tomorrow in Connecticut as part of an event tied to celebrating America’s 250th birthday.

Linda McMahon’s stop was reportedly connected to the U.S. Department of Education’s “History Rocks!” tour, which has been promoted as a way to highlight U.S. history and civic education. She has not publicly commented on the cancellation as of this writing.

The visit didn’t last long on the schedule. Fairfield Superintendent Michael Testani reportedly said the appearance was canceled after the district received phone calls and emails from parents who were unhappy with the planned visit.

One of those parents, Jill Alward, told News 12 that her concern was tied to special education.

"A lot of the students here need the special education services that the secretary of education tried to stop. Hearing she was coming here and going to be celebrated was quite unfortunate."

The Department of Education later issued a statement blaming the cancellation on left-wing politics. Press Secretary Savannah Newhouse wrote in a statement to CT Insider to explain their position on the matter.

"A love of country and celebration of America’s history is not partisan.Engaging young students with fun games and questions like ‘When was our nation founded?’ and ‘Who primarily wrote the Declaration of Independence?’ isn’t indoctrination — it’s sparking excitement about the story of freedom and democracy. Those who oppose these truths should appreciate the freedoms they enjoy and benefit from as they are able to protest and gather."

"If a school considers this partisan, it suggests they’re more influenced by left-wing narratives about the tour than by the truth of the tour itself. History Rocks! is exactly what its name suggests: a nationwide celebration reminding students that history matters — and yes, it rocks."

Linda McMahon is former WWE President, and that came with a fair amount of controversy. Still, as the current U.S. Education Secretary, Linda McMahon has a new slew of issues associated with her job.

Linda McMahon has been through a lot, even nearly going bankrupt, so she’s not going to let this stop her. We will keep a close eye on this situation. Linda McMahon has not been involved with WWE for years, but her name will forver be associated with pro wrestling.
