Linda Hogan has poured her heart out in a raw and emotional statement following the death of her ex-husband, Hulk Hogan — and she didn’t hold anything back.
Responding in the comments of a post about Hogan’s passing, Linda revealed she is still reeling from the shock, opening up about the pain, regret, and undying love she still carried for the man she was married to for over two decades.
“I had no idea he would pass away this soon. We all really thought he would make a come back! Big surprise. We are all devastated. It’s hitting me so hard.”
Linda didn’t shy away from the painful parts of their past, including Hogan’s infidelity. But even with the betrayal, her love never faded.
“I loved Hulkster more than he loved me. It hurt when he cheated. But he was sooo famous. I sort of understood but it was crushing. It hurt. I never got over him or started a real relationship w anyone… I missed HIM!”
She admitted she’s been overwhelmed with emotion ever since the news broke.
“I’ve been weeping all day. The finality. It’s just shocking. We spent every minute together for so many years. I’ve known him since he was 28 yrs old! I was 22. I still love him.”
Though they hadn’t spoken in years, Linda said their son Nick kept the lines of communication open.
“Even tho I never spoke or saw him, Nick did… and Nick would tell me things and vice versa. Just news about life. I still felt… although broken… we still were a family.”
She ended her statement with a heartfelt goodbye that shows just how much she still cherished him deep down.
“It’s so hard to know he’s just gone. I tried to stay strong for Nick… but I’m melting down now. It’s very sad. I love you Hulkster. You were my man. The only man for me. RIP.”
Linda’s vulnerable admission adds another layer to the wave of tributes coming in from those closest to the WWE icon. While fans remember Hulk Hogan for the red-and-yellow legacy and larger-than-life persona, it’s clear the heartbreak left behind is very real.
