Lilian Garcia was supposed to be the announcer for the Evolution 2 Premium Live Event tonight, but unfortunately she has announced that she can’t fulfil her duties due to a respiratory issue.
Lilian Garcia took to her Instagram and uploaded a video, announcing that she was originally set to announce at Evolution but had to step back due to health reasons. A few weeks ago, she had a respiratory infection and believed she was fully recovered.
However, after announcing at Saturday Night’s Main Event, it caused her vocal cords and respiratory system to flare up again, leaving her hoarse and unable to perform without risking more serious damage. She thanked Alicia Taylor for stepping in to take her place, calling her a rock star, and expressed how happy and grateful she was for the support.
“As you guys know, I was planning to announce Evolution tonight but I have some breaking news that I won’t be able to announce. So what happened is some weeks ago I had a respiratory infection and I thought I was completely healed. But when I announced Saturday Night’s Main Event last night it flared up my vocal cords, my respiratory whatever it is in there, and so now I’m a little bit hoarse and I can’t push it. I can’t announce tonight or a lot of damage could be done. So, big shoutout to Alicia who’s coming in. I’m really grateful to her, she’s a rock star. I’m just so happy.”
Fans everywhere are sending their best wishes to Lilian Garcia, hoping she makes a full recovery and can return to WWE events with her legendary voice. It’s disappointing for those who wanted to see her at Evolution 2, but her health is what matters most right now.
