The winners of WWE’s hit A&E series LFG just took their first official step into NXT—and it all went down live on the May 20, 2025 episode of NXT.

Following the show’s opening match, Ava was shown backstage with both LFG champions, Jasper Troy and Tyra Mae Steele. After days of speculation and celebration surrounding their wins, Ava made it official: “They will be debuting on NXT over the next few weeks.” She then had both competitors sign their NXT contracts on-screen, confirming their arrival to the roster.

Tyra Mae Steele, a former Olympic gold medalist, won the women’s division finals by defeating Zena Sterling at Madison Square Garden. With The Undertaker in her corner, Steele’s dominant run through the bracket led her to the LFG Championship—and now to WWE developmental.

In the men’s division, Shiloh Hill actually won the final match against Jasper Troy. But it was Jasper who walked away with the NXT contract, after Shawn Michaels revealed that WWE saw more immediate potential in Troy: “Jasper has what it takes to get in the ring right now with an NXT champion.”

Despite the surprise twist, both champions were present backstage on Tuesday night, looking ready for their next chapter.

With WWE already locking LFG in for six more seasons, the company clearly sees the series as a legit talent pipeline—and this contract signing was a major payoff for fans who’ve followed the competition from the start.
