Lex Luger is finally getting his moment in the WWE Hall of Fame, three decades after jumping ship to WCW. While many might see this as the ultimate closing chapter of his WWE career, Luger isn’t ready to turn the page just yet.
The former WWE and WCW star has been on a Legends deal with WWE for some time, staying connected with the company in various ways. Now, with his induction, the question comes up—does he see this as closure? On his Lex Expressed podcast, Luger made it clear that he’s far from done.
“Well, I still work with the company, so to be continued. I don’t see closure,” Luger said. “If you’d asked me after I left, and then a lot of things that happened after that, if this moment would have ever come, almost 20 years ago, I would have said, ‘Not a chance I’ll have anything even to do in wrestling,’ right?”
Luger’s relationship with WWE remains strong, and he’s loving his role as a brand ambassador. For him, the Hall of Fame is more of a milestone than a final chapter.
“I love working with the Legends program, and it goes on, and we get together with the guys for events they send us to. It’s like a class reunion. Yeah, the party goes on. It’s like a love fest with us and the fans. It’s amazing. So I don’t know about look at this as closure at all, but just, it’s just like a gold star.”
Luger is making it clear—this Hall of Fame induction isn’t a farewell. It’s just another accolade in a career that still has plenty of life left in it.
