Lena Kross got people talking with her appearance at the TNA tapings on July 24 — but now we’ve got the inside word on where she really stands with the company.

According to Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan, Kross has been in talks with TNA for months. The process of getting her involved officially has been in motion since March, and she’s already made a major step by relocating to the United States.

“Steps were being taken to get Lena Kross signed with TNA,” Brennan reported. “She’s moved to the United States, and the process of her working dates for TNA has been in the works since March.”

Despite her in-ring appearance, sources have not confirmed that a contract has been signed yet. So far, there’s no word that pen was put to paper, meaning Kross may still be in the final stages of working things out with the company.

This situation isn’t like many of the other recent signings that were secured by Gail Kim before her departure. Lena Kross’ possible deal appears to be something newer — not a leftover announcement waiting for the right time.

“This one wasn’t a case of Gail Kim signing them before her departure and then them being announced later,” Fightful noted.

Kross, who made her name on the Australian independent scene, also made waves in the UK and Japan before landing stateside. Sources say she sought guidance from existing TNA talent while trying to navigate her potential transition into the company.

“Lena also sought advice from members of the TNA roster during this period,” Brennan added.

So while she’s made her presence felt at the tapings, her official status with TNA appears to still be in motion. All signs point to her being close — but the deal isn’t confirmed just yet.
