The Jumping Bomb Angels just kicked off 2026 by letting the WWE Universe know they’re ready for their Hall of Fame flowers.
On January 1, 2026, the legendary Japanese tag team took to Twitter and sent a New Year’s message — but this wasn’t just a greeting. It was a full-on campaign launch to land a long-overdue spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. Attached was a petition detailing their legacy and calling on fans to help seal their place in wrestling history.
“Our New Year’s resolution is to gather enough support to get into the @WWE Hall of Fame!” the post read. “Please sign if you have time! Thank you and Happy New Year!!! #WWEHOF #JBA4HOF”
The message dives deep into the legacy of Noriyo Tateno and Itsuki Yamazaki — who took the 1980s wrestling scene by storm with their incredible athleticism, high-flying style, and solid chemistry. Their crowning WWE moment came at Survivor Series 1987, where they defeated The Glamour Girls to become WWF Women’s Tag Team Champions — a title win still remembered as a major moment for women’s wrestling.
The petition spells it out clearly, noting that despite their influence and contribution to the evolution of wrestling, the Jumping Bomb Angels haven’t been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame yet.
“Despite their profound influence and contribution to the evolution of wrestling, the Jumping Bomb Angels have yet to be acknowledged with a rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame.”
It also calls on WWE to finally recognize international talent who helped shape the company’s global appeal:
“Inducting them into the Hall of Fame would not only honor their remarkable achievements… but also recognize the historical significance of international stars in WWE’s rich legacy.”
With Stephanie McMahon already confirmed as the first inductee for the 2026 class, the Angels are hoping fan support can help them join her on the stage. The push comes during the team’s 40th anniversary — a milestone that only amplifies the call to give them the recognition they’ve long deserved.
