WWE Raw celebrated one year on Netflix on January 5, 2026, with a live show from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The first Raw of 2026 featured a Stranger Things theme and a full night of unforgettable moments, but Chris Jericho wasn’t on the show. That being said, he was expected by a lot of fans.
Fans held hope that WWE would get Chris Jericho back, especially after his AEW deal expired. There were reports that Jericho would be repackaged, and that could be interesting in 2026.
That being said, there doesn’t seem to be any movement for Chris Jericho actually going to WWE. In fact, the latest word is that he is likely still with AEW.
Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful Select that as of Friday, there was still no internal memo or official communication suggesting that Chris Jericho had departed All Elite Wrestling.
We previously reported on what is really going on with Chris Jericho. At this time, there is no indication that he has actually departed from Tony Khan’s company. Needless to say, Jericho has been known for surprises in the past.
Jonathan Coachman really stoked the fires when he said that Chris Jericho would be returning to WWE. It was previously reported that Chris Jericho wasn’t expected in New York. We will keep a close eye on this story for further updates.
