Lady Frost’s AEW run is officially over after a memorable few years — and now she’s moving on to her next chapter

After weeks of reports suggesting her contract was set to expire, her departure is now confirmed. On April 1, 2026, Frost took to Twitter and announced that she is officially a free agent, bringing her run with All Elite Wrestling to an end.

The confirmation comes after earlier reports from Fightful Select indicated that Frost was expected to hit free agency on April 1 unless a new deal was reached. As it turns out, no last-minute agreement came together — and now it’s official. Frost broke the news in her own words, thanking AEW and Tony Khan before making it clear she’s already looking ahead to what’s next.

“As of today, I am a free agent. I want to thank @TonyKhan for being an incredibly kind and passionate boss. I had some of the most incredible moments with @AEW and I am so grateful for the years that I spent there. For now, I’m on the hunt. Onto the next… ”

Her departure doesn’t come as a complete surprise. Frost last competed in AEW on January 10, where she faced Mina Shirakawa, and had only made limited appearances in the months leading up to her exit. Before that, she had been absent from AEW and ROH programming since July, showing that her role within the company had already slowed down significantly.

Still, Frost leaves AEW with a diverse résumé, having also competed in promotions like TNA, WWE, and CMLL prior to her run — giving her plenty of options now that she’s back on the open market. With her contract now officially expired and her free agency confirmed, attention immediately shifts to where she could land next as she begins the next phase of her career.
