LA Knight entered the Elimination Chamber with hopes of punching his ticket to WrestleMania 42 — but now that the match is over, even he doesn’t know what’s next.
After coming up short in the Chamber match — where he was eliminated by Logan Paul — Knight’s path to WrestleMania suddenly became a lot less clear. During an appearance on The Coach’s Corner on March 5, 2026, Knight was asked about his status heading into WrestleMania 42. Instead of teasing a direction, he admitted he genuinely doesn’t know what WWE has planned for him yet.
“Don’t worry about the details because I don’t have any. I know about as much as you know. People find that hard to believe, but honestly that’s just wrestling.”
Knight explained that uncertainty is actually pretty common in the wrestling business. According to him, even experienced performers sometimes don’t know the plan until very late in the process. With WrestleMania 42 approaching quickly in Las Vegas, Knight admitted he would like to have more clarity — but right now he’s simply waiting to see how things unfold.
“When I came up in wrestling, a lot of the time I would go to a show and I hadn’t even met my opponent before. I’d meet them two or three hours before showtime and that’s when we’d start figuring everything out. So with that being the case, I don’t know much right now. I’d like to know more, but I don’t.”
Even without confirmed plans, Knight made it clear he’s still excited about the spectacle surrounding WrestleMania week and the atmosphere that comes with WWE’s biggest event. Knight also noted that Las Vegas holds a special place for him personally after spending years living nearby in Los Angeles.
“All I know is it’s going to be a gigantic week like it always is. It’s going to be a huge success. You’re talking about people coming from all corners of the world to Las Vegas for what is basically our big bash. I’m just looking forward to the whole environment and everything that comes with that week and weekend. And I always love going to Vegas… it always has a special place in my heart.”
Bottom line: LA Knight may still be one of WWE’s most popular stars — but right now, even he doesn’t know where he fits on the WrestleMania 42 card.
