Former AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher is officially locked in — and now he’s confirming it himself.

During a new interview with Chris Van Vliet released on December 16, Fletcher opened up about signing his big-money AEW contract earlier this year, offering new insight into the surreal moment that changed his life forever. “I did. Yeah. This year. Man, it felt really cool. I was on a beach in Jamaica when I signed my contract — It was pretty surreal,” Fletcher said.

“It made me feel like I was like, man, when I was growing up, I thought there were maybe one or two people with these kind of contracts in the whole world of professional wrestling and here I am. It’s a very weird feeling. It’s very weird to realize, like, man, this spot that I’m in, it’s pretty big, it’s pretty special. Not a lot of people get to this level.”

AEW negotiated the deal with Fletcher through a representative, and sources said Tony Khan views Fletcher as a major piece of the company’s long-term future. Now that vision is clearly locked in — and Fletcher knows exactly how rare and meaningful his new position is.
