Kurt Angle always manages to become the center of attention whenever he makes an appearance on WWE television, but it’s been a while since the last time fans saw him on television. Now that John Cena’s retirement tour is underway, Angle has now addressed potentially doing a segment with Cena this year.
While speaking on the Insight podcast, Chris Van Vliet asked Kurt Angle whether he believes WWE would call him in order to do a segment with John Cena this year, asking,” You think you might get a call from WWE at some point this year to do a segment with him?”
The WWE Hall of Famer stated that it’s possible WWE could call him for a segment with John Cena this year. He mentioned that WWE previously brought him on TV for his birthday and also had him spray Chad Gable and Otis with milk alongside Gable Steveson. Angle added that when WWE comes to Pittsburgh for TV, they usually reach out to see if he’s available to do something.
“Yeah, that could be possible. If they need me to do something like that, that’s cool. That’s right, they actually brought me on TV for my birthday a couple of years ago. Then they brought me on to spray down Chad Gable and Otis with milk, which I did with Gable Steveson. So I had a couple of days. Usually when they come to Pittsburgh for TV, they usually give me a call and say, ‘Hey, would you do something?'”
In the meantime, John Cena has already announced himself for the Royal Rumble match this year. With more than 10 months remaining this year, we will have to wait and see whether WWE will decide to have Kurt Angle and John Cena get involved in a segment on television, as many feel it’s absolutely crucial as part of Cena’s retirement tour.
