Decades after the infamous ECW crucifixion angle, the drama still isn’t dead—and Kurt Angle just reminded everyone he’s not afraid to clap back.

The heat started when a clip resurfaced from the Legion of Skanks podcast featuring ECW legend The Sandman. In it, Sandman revisited the ECW High Incident show from October 1996, where Raven’s Nest crucified him as part of a controversial storyline. At the time, Kurt Angle—fresh off his Olympic gold medal win—was in the building, reportedly scoping out ECW as a potential landing spot.

After witnessing the angle firsthand, Angle left the building and cut off talks with the company altogether.

In the podcast clip, Sandman didn’t hold back when describing Angle’s reaction: “Angle’s a pussy for leaving.” That insult didn’t go unanswered. Angle jumped into the TikTok comment section to respond directly—and he wasn’t in the mood for diplomacy.

“If Sandman has a problem with me then do something about it. You pussy.”

Angle, who is currently signed to a WWE Legends contract, hasn’t appeared on TV since January 2023. But if this back-and-forth is any indication, the fire still burns—and he’s not about to let anyone rewrite the history of that night without a response.
