Kris Statlander Reveals Reason for Betraying Orange Cassidy on 6/5 AEW Dynamite

Kris Statlander is undoubtedly one of the veterans of the AEW women’s division, but she ended up betraying Willow Nightingale at AEW Double or Nothing. She would then end up betraying Orange Cassidy on the June 5th edition of Dynamite, and she has now revealed the reason for her betrayal.

On the June 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, Kris Statlander delivered a punch to Orange Cassidy following a heated exchange with Trent Beretta. The ongoing feud between Beretta and Cassidy escalated as Statlander visibly aligned herself with Beretta’s side.

In a digital exclusive, Kris Statlander provided insight into her actions when asked to explain them. Statlander noted how she was always there for Orange Cassidy from day one after she came back from two crucial injuries, but pointed out how Cassidy was never there for her when she was on a losing streak and lost her TBS Championship. Trent Beretta would also follow suit and note how Orange Cassidy has always been a narcissist.

Kris Statlander: ”Why? You wanna know why? 2021. My first major injury. I came back in the Arcade Anarchy match for Orange. My second major injury, a month after my surgery, I flew internationally to be there for Orange when he won his first-ever title here at AEW. When he lost that title, I made sure I was there to carry his bloody and sweaty body up that ramp, with his chest and his head held high because I was so proud of the work that he did, and I wanted him to be proud of it too. But when I lost my title, when I went on a streak of losing matches, when everyone was turning on me, where were you, Orange?”

Trent Beretta: ”He wasn’t there. Big surprise. I was, though. I’m a good person.”

Kris Statlander: ”All I ever wanted, Orange, was to be your best friend. But you, you were never mine.”

Trent Beretta: ”Does this not prove me right, what I’ve been saying all along? Orange Cassidy is a narcissist, a sociopath. He has mental issues, and he takes advantage of people like us.”

We will have to wait and see how AEW will continue to book Kris Statlander and Trent Beretta’s feud with Orange Cassidy in the coming weeks, as it is clear Cassidy will eventually get some backup of his own.
