AEW’s Full Gear 2025 pay-per-view went down at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The AEW Women’s World Title was on the line, where Mercedes Mone intended on adding to her long list of championships.

Kris Statlander fought hard to get to the top of AEW’s women’s division. At Full Gear, she faced her toughest opponent to date, because The CEO really wanted another title.

Mercedes Moné has been stacking up gold in recent memory. She’s the AEW TBS Champion and the Interim ROH Women’s World TV Champion, and that’s just the start. She’s also holding titles across multiple promotions, including RevPro’s Undisputed British Women’s Championship, the CMLL World Women’s Championship, BODYSLAM’s Women’s title, the Winnipeg Pro Wrestling Women’s Championship, and a few others. She’s basically collecting belts everywhere she goes.

This match went down at around 11:30 PM, but neither competitor was backing down at all. Mercedes Mone and Kris Statlander had a back-and-forth start, but then Mercedes took control of the match.

Eventually, Kris Statlander was able to get an advantage, and she kept the former Sasha Banks down for a bit. Then Mercedes was able to fight back, and she carried on with a relentless assault.

The match kept going as Kris Statlander got a Statement Maker on Mercedes. She got out of it, and then things went to the top rope, where Kris landed an avalanche rib breaker. There were a few near falls after that.

In the end, Kris Statlander was able to get a clean pin on Mercedes Mone. This was a giant win for Kris, because she beat Mercedes, keeping her from getting her hands on that title.
