Statlander trained under Brian Myers and Pat Buck at the Create A Pro Wrestling Academy in 2016, becoming their first female graduate. She debuted professionally in November 2016, initially using the name “Liza Verio.” In 2019, she signed with All Elite Wrestling, debuting on AEW Dark in November and shortly after on Dynamite. Known as “The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien,” her unique 450° splash and inverted piledriver finishers have set her apart. Statlander captured the AEW TBS Championship in May 2023 following a shock victory over Jade Cargill.

Statlander grew up on Long Island with her mechanic father, music-teacher mother, and older sister. After starting college, she left to pursue stunt work before shifting to wrestling. She is a vegetarian and a licensed massage therapist. Statlander was in a long-term relationship with wrestler Mason Burnett (also known as Caleb Konley); although they lived together in Charlotte, they later parted, and she moved into her own home. She shares a Shiba Inu named Dino who lives with her family, and previously co-owned a bearded dragon, Boots, with Konley. Known to keep her personal life relatively private, Kris balances her AEW career with wellness, training, and her close bonds formed within the wrestling community.
