Kofi Kingston didn’t hold back after rapper Mega Ran posted a tweet poking fun at the lukewarm crowd reaction to the New Day’s entrance theme.

On March 29, Mega Ran took to Twitter to share footage from a recent event in Seattle, where he rapped the group’s theme live for the crowd. Let’s just say, the energy didn’t match the bars. While a few fans were into it, most seemed unbothered, barely chanting along. Ran joked about the awkward moment in a tweet that quickly got attention.

“Day 1 of rapping the New Day’s new theme to a crowd. Didn’t go so great. Get it together guys, Seattle is not feeling y’all.” He tagged both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods before adding, “Vancouver BC tomorrow.”

Well, Kofi saw it—and he definitely wasn’t laughing. In a quote tweet response, the former WWE Champion let his frustration out, saying: “#1 – Seattle ain’t worth a damn.”

Then he turned the heat up even more: “#2 – I’m glad you think this is funny @MegaRan, you ungrateful bastard. Understand that we are doing everything in our power to get your credits re-removed from our song across all platforms.”

Ouch. It’s unclear whether Kofi’s comments were all in character or if some real tension is brewing behind the scenes, but fans are already divided. Some are siding with Mega Ran for keeping it light and honest, while others are defending Kofi and The New Day’s evolving presentation.

Either way, the group heads to Vancouver next, and all eyes will be on how the Canadian crowd reacts when the beat drops again.
