It looks like The New Day isn’t going anywhere anytime soon—because both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods are locked in with WWE.

According to Fightful Select, Kofi Kingston reportedly re-signed with WWE earlier this year. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed the news, sources within WWE believe the deal spans five years, which would keep the former WWE Champion on the roster until 2030.

“Kofi Kingston re-signed with WWE at some point earlier this year. WWE sources indicated that they were of the belief that the deal would be a five-year contract, taking him into 2030, when he’ll be nearly 49.”

This news comes just after reports surfaced confirming Xavier Woods also re-signed with WWE. His contract was nearing expiration in September 2025, but both sides reached a last-minute multi-year agreement in September.

“The deal came down to the wire and was actually only finalized in September,” a source close to the situation told Fightful.

While Big E’s future remains unclear due to his neck injury, locking down Kingston and Woods signals WWE’s commitment to keeping The New Day together—at least in some form—for the foreseeable future.

Kofi remains one of WWE’s most respected veterans and a standout in tag team history. Sources say his presence backstage is invaluable, especially with younger talent.

“He’s among the most respected locker room presences in pro wrestling.”

This extension would take Kingston into his late 40s, but with his track record, charisma, and fan support, age is just a number when it comes to his place in WWE.

Do you think WWE made the right move locking in Kofi Kingston until 2030? Should The New Day continue as a group—or explore more solo paths? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know how you feel about this deal.
