KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy has officially responded to the brutal assault on Syko Stu by Raja Jackson—and they’re not holding back in condemning the attack.
The promotion posted a statement on Facebook addressing the incident that left Syko Stu hospitalized and sparked outrage across the wrestling world. In their public message, KnokX Pro made it clear they stand with Syko Stu, real name Stuart Smith, after what they called a shocking betrayal during a match that was supposed to follow the script. The statement read:
“First and foremost our thoughts and prayers are with our brother Mr. Stuart Smith (Syko Stu) as he remains a priority and we are monitoring his well being. What was supposed to be a planned and agreed upon wrestling spot, turned into a selfish, irresponsible act of violence against Mr. Smith. This egregious act is reprehensible and never should have occurred.”
The promotion went on to express regret that such an incident happened under their banner, adding:
“In the 17 years of operation of KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, there has never been anything as heinous take place such as this and we apologize to our patrons and fans.”
The update follows intense backlash after MMA legend Rampage Jackson’s son, Raja Jackson, went off-script and attacked Syko Stu during a match, punching him repeatedly in the head after a spot had gone wrong. Syko Stu had reportedly already apologized to Raja and even shook hands with him prior to the match, believing the air had been cleared.
With this official response, KnokX Pro is now trying to control the damage, but questions remain about how Raja Jackson was allowed to participate in the match in the first place and whether enough was done to vet or monitor his involvement.
Do you think KnokX Pro’s statement goes far enough? Or should there be deeper consequences for allowing this incident to happen in the first place? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
