The Liv Morgan segment that shook up WWE SmackDown on February 6 wasn’t improvised chaos — it was carefully crafted, and now the key people behind it have been identified.
According to Fightful Select, the in-ring promo that brought together Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, and Jordynne Grace was written by Ioannis Filippides. The segment was designed to ignite multiple WrestleMania paths at once, pulling together Royal Rumble implications, title contention, and rising tension in the women’s division.
Also, the producer responsible for both the promo and the ensuing tag team match — which featured Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez against Jade Cargill and Jordynne Grace — was Kenny Dykstra.
Now that the people behind the segment are known, it’s clear this wasn’t talent going off-script or a last-minute call. The promo and match were mapped out to put specific names front and center and push the women’s title picture forward fast.
Did knowing who wrote and produced the segment change how you view it, and do you think WWE handled the women’s direction right here? Drop your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
