Kevin Owens finally addressed the speculation surrounding his neck surgery, and it’s not the news fans were hoping for.
In a video posted to Twitter on May 18, Owens set the record straight, confirming that he hasn’t had surgery yet despite earlier reports.
“So, first, we don’t have a surgery date yet. I have not had surgery yet. Despite reports that are contrary,” Owens said while sitting in his car. “We’re still gonna try and figure out what the best way to go about it all is, exactly what needs to be done. So we’re kind of figuring that out still.”
Owens, who hasn’t been seen in WWE since before WrestleMania 41, made it clear that there’s still a lot of uncertainty surrounding his condition. “There’s a lot of uncertainty but hopefully in the next few weeks, we get clarity and we do the surgery and then we go from there,” he continued.
The former Universal Champion then wrapped up the video with a blunt admission: “I don’t know what’s happening with my neck. So, we’ll figure it out.”
With no surgery date set and his future still in question, Kevin Owens’ return to WWE remains up in the air. Ringside News will continue to provide updates as they become available.
