Kevin Nash isn’t sold on the integrity of the NFL—and he’s not afraid to say it out loud.
During Kliq This #183: F** NEW YEARS*, the WWE Hall of Famer gave his blunt take on pro sports and whether fans should really trust what they’re seeing on the field every Sunday. It came up after he and co-host Sean Oliver talked about watching a college football game that seemed suspect due to blatant officiating errors. That naturally led Nash into a rant about the NFL—and how too many things just don’t add up anymore.
“I think the NFL’s a work,” Nash said flatly. “There’s so many f**in’ times when you watch a game and a guy’s got a clear shot at the quarterback and he just doesn’t take the shot. It’s like—I don’t know, man.”*
Sean then asked Nash if he still bets on sports, but Big Kev made it clear that those days are behind him—especially after the NBA referee betting scandal involving Tim Donaghy.
“Once that NBA scandal came out, I’m just like, I’m not betting, man,”* Nash explained.
This isn’t the first time Nash has drawn comparisons between sports entertainment and professional sports, but this time he made it clear: he doesn’t believe everything happening on the field is above board. Whether it’s questionable referee decisions, missed tackles, or sudden momentum swings, Nash sees a pattern—and he’s not alone in thinking some of it might be engineered for entertainment.
For a guy who made a career inside the ring working scripted matches, Nash has a trained eye for what feels off—and when it comes to the NFL, he’s officially calling it out.
